Simplified Photography Pricing Formula – FAQs

Will this course help me if I’m just getting my business started?

A: The short answer:  Yes! You’re going to have to figure out profitable pricing if you want to have anything to show for the hours you put into your photography. This course can help you bypass that painful learning curve so you’re profitable from the start.  But to me, the biggest benefit to profitable pricing is actually having time to enjoy your life — without having to wait months or years to get there.

No one in my market will pay more than I already charge. How can this course help me?

A: Don’t be so sure!  My business is located in an Illinois cornfield with about 100,000 people scattered around… and yet, it became one of the most profitable in the country within 5 years of the time I opened for business. And I haven’t changed my prices in 10 years. Odds are, your market will pay more than you think! We go into how to get clients to see your value and pay your prices in this course.

What kind of photographer is this class best for?”

A: This class is intended for photographers who specialize in kids, family, maternity, boudoir, pets, seniors and weddings.  However, this course doesn’t cover how to price fine art or commercial photography.

How long does it take to finish my price list once I start the course?

A. The course lessons will take you about a half a day to watch. If you do the exercises as you watch and use the price list templates I provide, you can have your new price list ready within a day.

How is this different than other pricing courses?

A. No other pricing course for photographers provides you with everything you need to not only learn how to profitably set your prices, but also complete a beautiful price list you can display to your clients. We make it very easy for you to not just set prices but also present them to your clients. And your instructor, Sarah Petty, was recognized by the Professional Photographers of America as one of the most profitable photographers in the United States.

What result can I expect after I complete the course?

A. A huge part of running your own business is being smart about how you invest your time and money.  When I look at where I invest my time and money I first ask myself, will this help me make more money. While a camera bag or new lens is FUN, can it really directly make you more money? This course is designed to do just that.

Working photographer, coach, mama, and wife. Whether you’re looking to take your photography business full-time or simply make good money on a very part-time basis so you can contribute to your family financially and be your best self, we’ve got something for you.
