I have held more than 50 events for groups of 300-600 business owners over the last 11 years. During that time I have hired many speakers, a lot of them being top names in the business. I have been doing photography for 17 years. This spring, I didn’t have any money in my account. I saw an email from Sarah Petty that got me hooked and she talked about sales. I knew sales were one of my weaknesses so I really paid attention to the email.

So when she said she was having a sales course I knew I had to take it, then I found out the price and I didn’t think I could afford it.

Then I sat and thought about it; I knew it was now or never for my business and I signed up. I am so glad I did, it was the best thing I have ever done for my business. There were a few key things that I learned from Sarah.

The first one was, to demand an in person consultation before you do the session. I had not done that as I thought people were too busy to meet with me. But after I did, it was like night and day! It really helped me do all my homework before the final sale.

The other thing I learned from Sarah was to educate my clients. I did my homework and found out what their house looked like, and what their style was so when it came to the sales session I was ready and I could close it in 45 minutes to an hour.

I also learned about connecting with clients over the first phone call. That was a huge thing; I treated them like they were friends and family. I asked them questions about where they lived, I really made the connection.

I also learned the feel-felt-found method. These little suggestions were huge. Just little tricks. I have used this method through the sales presentation and it works. My clients started treating me with more respect and I gained more confidence overnight.

So when I had my big sale, I called Sarah and told her about it. The sale started at $28,000 and then they lowered it to $26,000. That was the biggest sale I had ever had in my business! I was prepared for the sale and confident. When they came in they were ready to spend. I credit Sarah’s course for the success of this sale. Sarah IS worth every penny!

"APPRECIATED the marketing information! I particularly like seeing how one can make graphs of info for marketing objectives in a calendar placed against a sales summary graph of the year. I also found helpful the boxed diagram showing how one's promotional plan nests inside of the marketing mix nesting inside of the marketing plan nesting inside of the business plan. Very logical and grounding for me.
